Harriet Sutcliffe was born in York, United Kingdom in 1994. Underpinning her work is an ongoing interest into influencing emotion and placing viewers in alternate experiences. Working primarily with video, photography and sound, Harriet uses this visually immersive combination to blur the lines between fiction and reality. In doing so, she enables onlookers to temporarily explore another’s mind, and ultimately another world.

Having been awarded both the Aesthetica and York St. John Fine Arts Graduate Prize and the Italian Eleanor Worthington Art Prize for her video work, Harriet continues to build upon her practice and further research the images within our minds.
